Segway

Over the past 20 years, the American company Segway has created many cutting-edge, innovative products that have literally changed the world. Segway holds more than 1,000 significant patents in the fields of vehicle design, healthcare, self-balancing technologies, electronically controlled drivetrains, autonomous driving, and IoT / IoV technologies. Segway collaborates with and supplies technology to leading global companies such as Ford, BMW, GM, Ferrari, SEAT, Intel, Google, Amazon, and others.

In 2018, a separate division, Segway Technology Co., Ltd., was established, specializing in the research, development, manufacturing, and sales of off-road vehicles, including ATVs, SSVs, and UTVs. Its enormous technological potential—supported by a main off-road development center in the USA—forms a strong foundation for a new range of top-tier, innovative Segway off-road machines.

HISTORY OF SEGWAYS

2024

At the EICMA exhibition in Milan, the new Segway AT10 was introduced - with a 999 cc engine and 97 hp, the Fugleman UT6 - a work UTV with a 570 cc engine, and the super sports side-by-side Segway Super Villain SX20 Turbo with stunning performance.

2023

The Segway AT5, the new king of the 500cc class, and the six-seater Fugleman UT10 Crew are coming to the market. We become the official importer of Segway Powersports in Poland.

2022

Introducing the Villain SX10 - Extreme performance, fully adjustable suspension with 45 cm of travel, an extremely stiff chrome-molybdenum frame. Power steering and top-notch handling - the Villain SX10 is an adrenaline factory.

2021

New models from Segway powersports are on offer – Snarler AT6, a 600cc sport-recreational ATV, and Fugleman UT10 - a 1000cc, 105hp work UTV designed for demanding working conditions.

2020

Segway Powersports enters the off-road market in the Czech and Slovak Republics. The Czech company Segway Powersports sro becomes the official representative for Segway off-road products

2019

American off-road machines Segway are being introduced to the public for the first time. At the EICMA exhibition in Milan, new models with both classic and completely revolutionary hybrid drives are attracting extraordinary attention.

2018

Segway goes off-road . Segway-Ninebot is establishing a separate company in the USA, Segway Technology Co., Ltd., to develop, manufacture and sell off-road ATVs, SSVs, UTVs and other off-road vehicles.

2015

Segway and Ninebot enter into a strategic alliance. The newly formed company focuses on the development, production and sale of short-distance personal transportation. The first joint product is the revolutionary MiniPRO personal transporter, which allows intuitive control without manual control. The new company's market capitalization is over 60 billion USD - more than all four-wheeled companies combined.

2014

Production of the Patroller SE-3 three-wheeled transporter for law enforcement begins, gaining recognition for its quality, reliability, and innovative anti-rollover technology. In the same year, Segway also introduces the upgraded i2 SE and x2 SE models.

2012

Segway introduces ARTI, the latest prototype of a fully robotic RMP (Robotics Mobility Platform).

2011

Segway Inc. is expanding its business model and establishing the “Segway Experience Center Program,” which offers tourist excursions in cooperation with Segway Inc. Segway now also becomes an authorized travel agency.

2009

Patroller models for police and law enforcement are launched. Patrollers have since been used by security forces in the USA, Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Saudi Arabia and other countries.

2008

More than 100 Segway PTs were in operation at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. The main argument for their use is their zero emissions and environmental friendliness.

2006

The second generation of the Segway PT model brings wireless InfoKey control and revolutionary LeanSteer technology - turning by tilting the handlebars to the sides.

2005

The all-terrain Segway XT and Golf Transporter are coming to the market. Thanks to wide tires, they can move without problems not only on solid roads, but also off-road.

2004

The Segway Centaur, a four-wheeled concept vehicle equipped with a gyroscope and tilt sensor, is introduced. The leading American magazine Time declares the Segway Centaur one of the best inventions of 2004.

2003

Segway signs a prestigious contract with DARPA, the U.S. Department of Defense's Advanced Research Projects Agency, which invests in new technologies important to U.S. national security.

2002

The first Segway PT personal transporter goes on sale on Amazon. The Segway PT is named "Best New Scientific Invention of the Year" by Popular Science magazine.

2001

Segway Inc. is building its European headquarters and factory in Bedford, UK.

1999

Dean Kamen, an American entrepreneur, inventor and holder of many honorary academic degrees, founds Segway Inc. in the USA.
